Arthur Lee Lewis-Henderson Jr.

Arthur Lewis-Henderson Jr. was born December 11, 1953 to Arthur Henderson Sr. and Eula M. Lewis in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was the oldest of seven children. His father and two siblings; Cherlyn V. Lewis and Janice Lewis preceded him in death. He also was preceded iin death by his daughter Kimberly Smith.
Arthur accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Arthur received his education in the Oklahoma City Public Schools, attending Harding Jr. High and Northeast High School.
Arthur was a pioneer in helping people, especially those who lived in his neighborhood. He was fun to be around and always had a smile on his face. His favorite pastime was watching westerns. Even with his health failing, Arthur continued to help the senior citizens in his neighborhood. Due to his health he remained mostly in the home taking care of his mother.
Arthur is survived by his mother, Eula Lewis-Henderson, two sons; Arthur Henderson III of Philadelphia, PA, Dennis Wayne Arnett, three brothers; Dennis Lewis (Trina), Marion Lewis and Walter Henderson, two sisters; Barbara Lewis Henderson, Lena Henderson-Featherstone, one aunt; Frankie Nevels three grandsons; Quandaries Henderson, Elijah Corbin and Tyler Smith and one granddaughter; Mariah March, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
There will be 2 days of visitation; Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 2-7 p.m. and Friday, August 2, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. at Trice Hill Cemetery and funeral service will begin following at Creston Hills Church of Christ 1901 Martin Luther King Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
