Michael L. Carter

Michael Ladrue Carter 62, was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 29, 1957 and slipped quietly away on July 11, 2019 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents; Larry Wickerson, Pearlene Ceola Vick and Charles Henry Stewart Sr., who was a father to him and raised him with his mother, siblings; Freeman Dick Carter, Evelyn Marie Pollard, Gregory Charles Carter and Mark Duane Carter.
Michael served his country in the Army, Navy and the Reserves. He worked for John Lofton and could be seen downtown with his briefcase where many would think he was a lawyer. He was the knowledge man, the one people went to when they needed direction and most matters. Michael was friendly, and a good role model who took young boys under his wing to help them do the right thing in life. He liked doing outside work like junking and helping out in the community. Michael loved his sisters and brothers dearly and was truly a hard worker.
Michael leaves to cherish the memories of his life 2 daughters; Fleurette Renee Carter and Latoya Maxwell. 11 grandchildren; Orlando Carter, Ernest Carter, De-Ajhane, Joseph Carter, William Ladrue Littlejohn, Ta-Carra Littlejohn, La-Niaya Littlejohn, Maurice Maxwell, Mauriya Maxwell, Tu-quiesha Jones and Timmy Jones 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation and viewing for Michael will held on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 2-7 p.m. at Beside Stillwaters Funeral Home and Cremation. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at The Serenity Chapel at Beside Stillwaters Funeral Home 1616 NE 36th Street Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73111.
