The call from heaven was made on July 2, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma to Phillip Skinner 56, and he submitted. Phillip was born on June 18, 1963 in Eunice, Louisiana to the union of Alton and Thelma (Green) Skinner and was one of 18 children. Waiting upon his arrival at the gate were his parents, his siblings; Geneautry, Elton, Eula Mae, Helen, Gloria and one baby sister.
Phillip was a kind hearted man, who would give you the shirt off his back, and it could be said that he was he was kind to a fault. He would lend a helping hand to those in need in anyway he could to make it easier for others. He was considered a happy, sweet and humble person. His mother was his heart and he adored her, he was not long without her as she was called home just a mere 2 months before his passing.
Phillip enjoyed cars, listening to music, dancing and his family. He leaves to remember his life and cherish his memories his children; Thelma Jackson, of Eunice, Louisiana, Jermaine Jackson, of Las Vegas Nevada and Jasmine Jackson of Texas City, Texas grandchildren; Mason Jackson, Marshall Wiltz, Jayla Jackson, and Trenton George, God daughter; Kierra Jack of Eunice, Louisiana, siblings; Mary Sparks of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Bertha Skinner of Perris, California, Joseph Skinner of Texas City, Texas, Elizabeth Skinner of Eunice, Louisiana, Walter (Maudrey) Skinner and Jimmy Skinner of Texas City, Texas, Annie Skinner and Johnny Skinner of Eunice, Louisiana, Judy (Floyd) Lee of Rialto, California, Brenda (Raymond) Keeling and Danny Skinner of Los Angeles, California and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and family. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in The Serenity Chapel of Beside Stillwaters Funeral Home and Cremation 1616 NE 36th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73111.
